Our mission: To educate and assist the public to embrace a more vegan-friendly life by bringing together the businesses, products and services that will make it easier and more meaningful.As a 100% vegan event, there is no other event like it in the Ottawa market. It attracts not only vegetarians and vegans, but also those who are generally health conscious, people interested in eating more ethically / sustainably, and locavores / foodies.There’s no better opportunity to come and explore this lifestyle, whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply curious and interested in food.

Ottawa Veg Fest

Join Naturally Vero's Veronique Daoust to learn the ins and outs for healthy snacking, just in time for summer!  Put down the potato chips and crack open the chia seeds and pineapple!  On the (vegan and gluten-free) menu:

This class will be  demonstration-based, and includes the opportunity to interact with and ask questions of Veronique, who operates a plant-based meal delivery service, Naturally Vero. It is being held in a display kitchen - a couple of "helpers" may be selected to assist with the process. 
Once the snacks are prepared, everyone will have the opportunity to partake, and to network and mingle with other participants.  
Please arrive ten minutes early for registration and seating.   
The event is occurring at the Beaver Barracks, which is located between Metcalfe and O'Connor streets, and between Catherine St. and Argyle Ave.  It is located just off of the Metcalfe exit of the Queensway in downtown Ottawa. Beaver Barracks does not have dedicated parking for participants. There is free three hour street parking within a few blocks of the venue.  There are also several paid parking lots within two blocks.  The entrance is off of Metcalfe street - please don't use the main entrance to the building, it is a door to the left.
It is on bus route 101, and close to routes 1, 6 and 7.

This is a legal and binding contract. By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to be bound by all provisions in the Eat Your Veggies Institute Terms and Conditions. 
Eat Your Veggies Institute and its employees, owners, chefs, food preparers, attorneys and assigns, remain free from any and all liability, loss, claim, demand, action or cause of action which may arise by your participation in any class. The classes may involve food preparation and handling; therefore, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining the quality of the food prepared during any class. 
For interactive classes, you should be dressed comfortably but with safety in mind. No open-toed shoes are permitted, loose clothing or jewelry. Long hair should be tied back. You are responsible for telling Eat Your Veggies Institute if you have any food allergies and/or medical restrictions.
The recipes and dietary information in Eat Your Veggies Institute events are only intended as informative guides for those wishing to know more about a whole food plant based diet. In no way are the events intended to replace, countermand, or conflict with the advice given to you by your own physician. Information presented in Eat Your Veggies Institute events is offered with no guarantees.
Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in classes unless otherwise stated. You may register a child (12-17 years old) to participate in the class.  The child must register as an individual and be accompanied by an adult also participating in the class.
MEDIA RELEASE: 
Eat Your Veggies Institute reserves the right to take photographic or ﬁlm records of any of its programs, and may use any such photographic or ﬁlm records for promotional and/or commercial purposes without any remuneration to the participant. The participant agrees to assign all right, title and interest they may have in or to any media in which their name or likeness might be used to Eat Your Veggies Institute.
Eat Your Veggies Institute authorizes students to take photographs so long as they do not interfere with the instruction of the class. These pictures must be for personal use only. It is strictly prohibited to film the courses without the prior written consent of Eat Your Veggies Institute, its participants, and the chef in attendance. For any planned publication, the participant must obtain written consent from Eat Your Veggies Institute, which reserves the right to refuse such authorization and shall validate each published photo.
PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS: 
Payment is required at time of registration for individuals or for groups, by credit card or PayPal through the Eventbrite website. If you wish to pay by cash, cheque or gift certificate, please contact Eat Your Veggies Institute. 
All Cancellations require a 7-day notice for refund or class credit. If you cancel less than 7 days before your scheduled class, Eat Your Veggies Institute will not issue any refund or credit.  You may transfer your class to another qualified individual at any time by contacting Eat Your Veggies Institute, and providing 48-hour notice ahead of the event. Eat Your Veggies Institute cannot provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed or no-shows.  
If Eat Your Veggies Institute cancels a class due to low enrollment or other extenuating circumstances, all participants will be notified and receive a class credit or a refund. 
When enrolling in an Eat Your Veggies Institute event, you agree to these terms.
