"This book was the last project of my father’s life. He arranged the poems, selected the versions and shaped the rhythm of the collection. He left it open. Not finished. Not closed. Not a record of a completed argument. It is a revelation, a vibration, a practice that asks to be continued. Let the words carry you, and carry what you encounter forward. Let them multiply in you, and through you." – from the Foreword by Toya Brooks, daughter of Clyde Brooks
