EcoLinks 2020

OSEE’s mission is to support and inspire all educators in Ontario to incorporate environmental education into their practice. The conference is a welcome space for everyone. Content is curated for all formal & non-formal educators across all subjects, students, and anyone with a stake in environmental education. Content may be Ontario specific in some cases, but there will be great value for any educator across Turtle Island.As a subject association, we, as OSEE, think it is important that we make this as accessible as possible to educators and teachers from all walks of life by hosting the conference on a weekend.

High Park Nature Centre

The annual EcoLinks Conference will return to the High Park Nature Centre on May 22, 2020. Hosted by the Ontario Society for Environmental Education (OSEE), the conference supports educators with building skills and approaches for teaching environmental education (EE) across numerous grades and subjects through interactive workshops.This year&#x27;s themes include:1) Indigenous Perspectives &amp; EE2) Arts-based Nature Education (EE through music/song, art, drama)3) Champions of Change: Shifting School Culture4) Gardening as Pedagogy5) Global Citizenship and Climate Justice6) EE, Mental Health &amp; MindfulnessIndigenous-inspired restaurant, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/CafePowWow/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Pow Wow Cafe</a>, will once again be serving us a delicious lunch, which is included with your conference ticket. They will also be bringing some of their <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/radio/unreserved/using-food-to-strengthen-indigenous-culture-and-resist-colonization-1.5126272/making-cedar-soda-with-pow-wow-cafe-s-shawn-adler-1.5126282" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">hand-crafted sodas</a> which will be available for purchase.
