ECOsystem Services, COmmercialization Platforms and EntrepreneurshipECOSCOPE is anNSERC CREATEtraining program at the U. of British Columbia that provides students and post-docs with the skills needed to translate academic research into commercial and entrepreneurial activities. ECOSCOPE is centered on the 4 pillars ofmicrobial ecology, biological engineering, data science, and entrepreneurship.As part of our data science training, we offer various workshops in R/RStudio, Git, python, high-throughput computing, and others. These workshops are also open and available to the public.

Here is an opportunity for all ECOSCOPE participating labs to get together, share science stories and celebrate almost 6 years of ECOSCOPE impact on the world. This symposium entitled “Microbes in action&quot; will highlight research activities within and between participating labs with a focus on metabolic gene discovery, pathway engineering, synthetic biology, and modeling applications.Deadline extension: The last day for registration and abstract submission is May 1st.
