A vision quest is an ongoing search for the meaning and purpose of life. Ultimately it answers the questions... Who am I? What am I supposed to be doing here? What is my life purpose? Am I making a contribution or just getting in the way of what I'm called to do? This is a personal question, but also an existential question.
Ecotherapy Vision Quests offer participants an opportunity to push the boundaries of what they think they can do, but fromc within a Western context. This event will include opportunities to participate in a 36 hour fast, combined with ritual ceremonies involving nature and the elements. The purpose is to contact the inner voice of awakening and spirituality and listen to its wisdom for your life.
This weekend will kick off with ceremonies on the Buddhist archetype of 1000 Armed Chenrezi. He is a powerful energy that helps any being connect with their giving energy. With 1000 arms for giving to the universe, this archetype helps people connect with their life purpose. A ceremonial wongkur celebration will kick off the weekend, involving chanting, visualizing, and 7 chakra stimulations. Previous experience with Buddhist archetypes in not required.
