Ecstatic Dance~Release

Join us for a lovely ecstatic dance!

Ecstatic dance offers a space for people to let go of inhibitions, connect with themselves and others, and experience the joy of movement in its purest form. It can be a deeply transformative and liberating practice for those who engage with it regularly.

DJ Chana weaves music from all genres and backgrounds into her playlists. She invites those present to go deep and experience the magic of ecstatic dance.

Dan, a Registered Psychotherapist in the Ottawa area, will be facilitating a short vocal and somatic release exercise to guide us into the dance.

The invitation is to release what no longer serves you and open to a new energy. Let yourself feel your inner child and the freedom that comes with that. Let’s get silly and connect with our creativity together.

$20 at the door, or in advance using Eventbrite:

*Parking in the school lot across from the hall.
*Please bring a water bottle & comfy clothes for movement.

Guidelines:
* Please Be Kind to yourself & others.
* Respect one another’s space.
* Zero Tolerance for Hate (this includes: zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour, racism, sexism, or harassment of any kind)
* Safe(r) space model
*No talking on the dance floor to create the experience.
*No phones on the dancefloor.

A little bit about your hosts:
Chana is a free spirit, artist and lover of life. She has been dancing for over 20 years and facilitating Ecstatic Dance journeys since 2021. She believes in the medicinal healing process of dance and brings this understanding and magic to her events.
She curates a special playlist and invites those present to go on a deep journey.
Chana loves people and connecting deeply and authentically.
She believes that love is the highest vibration and feels like it can heal the world.
For the past 6 years she has been doing outreach work with the homeless population.
She is passionate about supporting those who are dealing with mental health struggles, addictions and homelessness.

Dan, originally from Montreal, has worked as a psychotherapist specializing in trauma in the Ottawa area for the last decade.
His passion is in helping people name and release pain stuck in the body and thoughts.
