How major news media are adapting in an era of disruption and innovation while maintaining public trust.
Join Us for Editing Democracy
Moderated by David Walmsley, Editor-in-Chief, The Globe and Mail.
Featuring leading and legendary news editors Marty Baron, Tina Brown and Katie Drummond, the panel discussion will address how newsrooms are innovating in an era of massive technological disruption. The speakers will discuss emerging business models and the impact on public trust, and the connection between a robust news media, public health, and a resilient democracy.
The conversation will run for approximately 90 minutes, taking place in front of a live audience at The Globe and Mail Centre, a stunning venue on the 17th floor overlooking Toronto. A public reception with a complimentary wine bar and light refreshments will follow.
The evening will also feature a special tribute to the legacy of Roy Thomson, a lifelong innovator of news media.
