Ocean Startup Project

Peter Moreira of Entrevestor will visit St. John’s next month to deliver a presentation of his latest data report at the Emera Innovation Exchange on Nov. 6.
As well as producing daily news on Atlantic Canadian startups, Entrevestor gathers and analyzes data on the sector, which it produces as a report each year. The group has been reporting lately on the findings of its 2017 report on entrevestor.com, and Moreira has been presenting the findings around the region.
Moreira’s talk outlines our data analysis, which gives the best picture available on the state of the region’s startup community. Based on surveys and interviews with founders across the region, Entrevestor’s analysis includes such metrics as company launches, failures, employment, funding and revenues.
Moreira’s schedule has included presentations in Charlottetown and Fredericton. His talk in St. John’s will be hosted by Killick Capital, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation and Genesis.
This is a great opportunity to learn about -- and ask about -- what's happening in your industry, so please come out and join us. The one-hour presentation will begin at 10:30 am. 
Parking 
All visitors to the Signal Hill location that require parking can use Pay Per Use parking, available via the Passport parking mobile application or website. Paid parking is available in the middle and lower parking lots. It is advised for convenience that the app is downloaded prior to arriving. The St. John's Campus Parking Office does not issue temporary permits for this location.
