St. Paul's University College offers residence, academic courses and learning opportunities to students at the University of Waterloo. Interested in helping people live more sustainably? Unleash your creativity at this design sprint for the planet. Environment and Climate Change Canada and GreenHouse are hosting a design sprint that focuses on changing behaviour and rewarding the adoption of pollution prevention actions. Participants will use their design, technical and business skills to develop a proof of concept for a mobile digital solution. 
Bring your friends and make new ones. As a participant, you will learn from mentors from Environment Canada and the technology space, collaborate with others from different disciplines and sharpen your skills by attending workshops on ideation, prototyping, business planning and pitching. Teams will pitch an execution and maintenance plan and proof of concept to an expert panel of judges.  A total of $10,000 in prizes will awarded to participants that present the best idea(s). 
Application Process
Register individually or in teams of up to five. If you register as an individual, we will give you time to find a team at the beginning of the event.  We are looking for teams who are passionate about environmental behaviour change, and have a blend of creative, technical skills and business skills. Please note that this design challenge is open to  University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and Connestoga College students. 
There are a limited number of spots for this event. Once you register with your application, we will be going through a selection process to identify successful applicants. You will receive an email by March 10th indicating if you have been selected as a participant. Mettez votre créativité à profit durant cette conception accélérée pour la planète.  Environnement et Changement climatique Canada et Green House organisent une conception accélérée qui contribuera au changement de comportement environnemental et récompensera l’adoption de mesures de prévention de la pollution. Les participant(e)s utiliseront leurs compétences techniques etde conception et leur sens desaffaires pour élaborer une validation de principe pour une solution numérique mobile.
 Amenez vos amis et rencontrez de nouvelles personnes. Comme participant, vous pouvez avoir accès à une équipe de mentors, collaborer avec d’autres étudiants de différentes disciplines et perfectionner vos compétences en participant à de mini ateliers d’idéation, de prototypage, de planification des affaires et de présentation. Votre équipe fera une présentation de votre plan d’affaires et de votre validation de principe devant un comité de juges experts. Des prix d’une valeur totale de 10 000 $ seront remis aux participants qui auront présenté les meilleures idées. 
 Processus de présentation des candidatures
Inscrivez-vous individuellement ou en équipe de cinq au maximum. Si vous inscrivez individuellement, nous vous donnerons du temps pour trouver une équipe au début de l’évènement. Nous recherchons des équipes passionnées par le changement de comportement environnemental, qui possèdent des compétences créatives et techniques et un bon sens desaffaires. Veuillez noter que cette conception Veuillez noter que ce défi de conception accélérée est ouverte aux étudiants de UW, Wilfrid Laurier University et Connestoga College.
Le nombre de participants à cet événement est limité. Une fois que vous vous êtes inscrit, nous procéderons à un processus de sélection visant à identifier les candidats sélectionnés.
