Description
Environment Industry Day 2016
Good jobs. Local jobs. Environmental jobs.
Ontario faces a job creation challenge. How – in a world that is facing increasing global competition – do we create quality local jobs in communities across the province? Our province’s environment and cleantech sector is a proven job creator, already employing more than 65,000 of our fellow citizens in areas as diverse as waste and recycling; global environmental consulting; brownfield redevelopment; energy efficiency and generation; and water and wastewater management. We need government policies that place economic growth and job creation first as a way to improve our environment, help our industries and create new local jobs.
The Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA) looks forward to discussing these pressing issues with you at our annual Environment Industry Day (EID) on Tuesday, October 25, 2016.
The day will feature the following highlights:
- Small teams of ONEIA member company representatives will meet with key Ministers and MPPs throughout the afternoon (Want to be one of our industry's ambassadors? Register and you could be selected!)
- An afternoon panel of industry-leading companies and key policy people will discuss the legislative environment at Queen's Park and how it will affect our sector.
- An evening reception, co-hosted with the Ontario Minister of Environment and Climate Change will offer excellent networking and feature a "who's who" of Queen's Park and industry leaders.
