Essentials for Employability

The Experiential Education Department at UPEI helps students build bridges between their university learning and the world of work. Our office offers numerous free workshops and events to help UPEI students develop a range of personal and professional skills. We also support students through coordinating experiential learning opportunities, enabling students to apply what they are learning in the classroom in real world contexts while expanding their growth.

UPEI Experiential Education

A free, two-day training for UPEI students on employability essentials, complete with labour market and effective communication workshops.

Take the opportunity this reading week to learn key information about how to navigate PEI&#x27;s labour market and improve on your communication strategies and skills!We&#x27;re hosting a free, two-day bootcamp with a series of workshops from UPEI&#x27;s Digital Badge Program, including:<ul><li>Resumes &amp; Cover Letters</li><li>Interview Skills</li><li>Job Skills and Career Pathways</li><li>Networking</li><li>Teamwork &amp; Collaboration</li><li>Digital Presence</li><li>Conflict Resolution</li><li>Interpersonal Communication</li></ul>Programming will be held in person, on UPEI campus, from 9am-4pm on Tuesday, October 12th and Wednesday, October 13th, pending Health and Safety approval and in accordance with all public health guidelines. Further details will be sent to registrants closer to the event date.If you complete all components of this two-day programming, you will be eligible to take part in a job shadow, coordinated through UPEI&#x27;s Experiential Education department.
