Event description

Description

Our experiences and values influence ethical decision-making.

That’s why it’s important for social workers to consider the perspectives of those we work with, the environments they are working in and the influence of the dominant narrative. Throughout the ethical decision-making process, we encourage reflection on our own value system, emotions, and positionality in relation to these broader systems.

Join your College for a FREE three-hour professional development session in Yarmouth on social work ethics. The College's Registrar/Executive Director and Council President will introduce social workers to the Ethical Decision Making Tool which guides you through the CASW Code of Ethics and the NSCSW Standards of Practice.

Please note: This Ethics 101 session is only open to NSCSW members who have not previously attended an ethics event with the College.

Questions? Contact the College's Professional Practice Consultant Annemieke Vink at annemieke.vink@nscsw.org.
