Evening for Educators

The Toronto Biennial of Art is a new international contemporary visual arts event as culturally connected and diverse as the city itself. From September 21 to December 1, Toronto and surrounding areas will be transformed by exhibitions, talks, and performances that reflect our local context while engaging with the most pressing issues of our time.

The Toronto Biennial of Art and The Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto invite all teachers to a lively, virtual event of art and dialogue.

<a href="http://www.torontobiennial.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Toronto Biennial of Art</a> (TBA) and <a href="https://moca.ca" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto </a>(MOCA) invite all teachers on Wednesday March 2, 2022 from 4pm to 5:30pm to a lively, virtual event of art and dialogue. Surviving the toughest years in education, let’s gather and connect, and chat about what it means “to be in relation” with one another. Join Carolyn King, <a href="https://moccasinidentifier.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Moccasin Identifier</a> founder and former elected Chief of the Mississaugas of Credit First Nation, as she chats with us about her inspiring initiative to “advance Treaty and Indigenous awareness by covering Canada in moccasins.” We will also learn about MOCA’s Jeffrey Gibson installation, “<a href="https://moca.ca/exhibitions/jeffrey-gibson-2022/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">I AM YOUR RELATIVE</a>” featuring 15 moveable stages that will populate MOCA’s ground floor from March 10 to July 31, 2022. TBA and MOCA team members will also share information on an exciting opportunity to visit our upcoming contemporary art exhibitions either virtually or in-person, with your elementary or secondary school students!Participating teachers will also be invited to pick up a care package at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA)@ building including: <ul><li>An invitation to sign up for exclusive teacher’s events and previews, as well as information on MOCA’s Teachers’ Advisory Circle</li><li>A code to redeem an Educator’s admission pass to MOCA</li><li>An Educator’s TBA tote bag full of past TBA Tools for Learning and swag</li><li>TBA and MOCA’s curriculum supportive resources and ideas, which you can use in your classrooms to help build skills in critical thinking, visual literacy, observation, and creativity. </li></ul>Sign up today for our Virtual Evening for Teachers on Wednesday, March 2, 2022!
