Evolve to Innovate (e2i) Information Session

Innovate Calgary is the knowledge transfer and business incubator for the University of Calgary. As part of the Office of the Vice-President (Research) portfolio, we help to bridge the gap between discovery and innovation. From ideation to commercialization, Innovate Calgary has successfully supported the innovation-driven research community for thirty-two years.

Innovate Calgary and the University of Calgary are launching a new program to help researchers develop the skills required to make an impact by evolving their research and confidently explore its commercial potential.<a href="https://research.ucalgary.ca/innovation/ecosystem/e2i-evolve-innovate" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Evolve to Innovate (e2i) </a>program creates a new pathway for researchers to translate successful research outcomes into practical solutions. e2i fellows will engage in an eight-month experiential innovation curriculum, including mentorship from experienced entrepreneurial faculty members, hands-on workshops and guidance, and a cash allowance. Open to UCalgary post doctoral scholars and research associates, we invite you to learn more about the program including the eligibility criteria and the application process at this info session. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. The information session will be facilitated by Adam Cragg, the Executive Director, New Ventures, Innovate Calgary.

About Adam Cragg (seen below)
As the Executive Director, New Ventures, Adam is responsible for helping startups achieve scale. His programs include the Life Sciences Fellowship, Medventions, GreenSTEM, and GrinSTEM programs. New Ventures also oversees coaching and mentorship to assist startups via the Expert Advisors (EA’s), and Preferred Suppliers (PS) programs. New Ventures supports organizational metrics and client initiatives to meet donor and stakeholder requirements. Adam is a UCeed representative for the Haskayne Student Fund, the first student-run venture capital fund in western Canada. During his career, Adam has invested in over 120 seed-stage startups and worked with entrepreneurs from some of the world’s top universities.
