Description

This Open House is intended for domestically and internationally trained physicians who currently or aspire to work in the health industry. At this event you can learn more about the Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) program in Digital Transformation and the Michael G. DeGroote Health Leadership Academy (HLA) Physician Fellowship Program. Upon graduation physicians will be awarded the title of Michael G DeGroote Health Leadership Academy Physician Fellow.

Michael Hartmann, PhD, MBA, MA, HBA

Dr. Hartmann is a professor of Human Resource Management at the DeGroote School of Business and Principal of the Directors College where he leads program development and is a member of the College’s core teaching team. Prior to joining DeGroote, Dr. Hartmann was Deputy Director, Manchester Business School (2008-2013) and Assistant Dean, Rotman School of Management (1998-2007). While at Rotman, he led the School’s globally ranked Executive Education center and contributed to the development of its portfolio executive leadership programs.

Dr. Hartmann has over 20 years of academic and professional experience teaching and designing executive leadership and innovation programs to organizations in Asia, Europe, the UAE, and the Americas. He has taught graduate degree courses (EMBA, MBA and Executive Masters programs) and corporate workshops in the areas of leadership, strategy, innovation, corporate governance, group decision-making, cross-cultural studies and change management. Dr. Hartmann is also a member of DeGroote’s EMBA in Digital Transformation faculty team and the program’s Executive Director.

Arianna Dal Cin, BSC, MD, FRCP, MBA

Associate Clinical Professor, Surgery, McMaster University

Arianna Dal Cin is a Plastic Surgeon, and Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at McMaster University. She is former Head of Service for her Division and Burn Unit Director. She has an active practice, enjoys teaching medical students and surgical residents. In 2015, she obtained her MBA degree from Rotman. She joined the Health Leadership Academy (HLA) in 2016. She is Co-Chair of the Education Committee at HLA Collaboratorium.
