What course materials are included?

Upon successful registration, learners will receive a confirmation email that contains the links and password to access the Exercise Theory Certification course. An Exercise Theory manual will be mailed to learnings upon registration. The cost of the manual and shipping is included in the course fee

Do I need to take an exam after I complete the training?

Yes, if you want to continue onto the Certification Modules and become a certified Fitness Leader, you must pass the Exercise Theory exam with a grade of 80% or higher.

Take SPRA's Exercise Theory certification course online!

SPRA's on demand Exercise Theory course will prepare you to take the national FLC Exercise Theory Exam, which is the first step in becoming an SPRA Group Fitness Leader. You will learn the basic theory behind fitness classes including, leadership, health and fitness, anatomy, physiology, applied mechanics, principles of training, workout design and basic nutrition.

The course is organized into six (6) modules, each dealing with fitness theory knowledge. The virtual on-demand training allows Fitness Leaders to participate at a time, place and pace that is convenient or ideal for them.

This course is a prerequisite to all other Fitness Leader Certification modules.
