Explore Your Future 2019

We are a charity dedicated to ensuring all young people in Waterloo Region can build their path to fulfilling careers. We do this by empowering youth to explore and prepare for the world of work in partnership with their parents, educators and our local workforce.

Business & Education Partnership - Waterloo Region

Parents: did you know that YOU are your child's main source of career advice? When they start asking questions you can't answer, visit 60+ local experts who can, at Explore Your Future 2019.
Explore Your Future helps parents, students and educators to better understand the labour market of Waterloo Region and opportunities for career development throughout grades 7-12 and beyond.  Over 60 exhibitors will showcase careers and answer your questions, including:

<LI>Post-secondary institutions such as Conestoga College, University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University</LI>
<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">Local employers in sectors like construction, advanced manufacturing, health care, technology, business, arts, and more</LI>
<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">Community agencies with resources on how to get experience through employment, volunteering or starting a business </LI>
<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">Experts in Experiential Learning and Career/Life Planning from the Waterloo Region and Waterloo Catholic school boards </LI>
</UL>
Expert breakout sessions (optional to attend) include:

<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">6:00-6:30pm: Technology and the Future of Work: What parents, students and teachers need to know  Panel of local experts facilitated by the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo, Wellington, Dufferin </LI>
<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">6:35-6:55pm: Paying for Post-secondary: Making Your Money Last Through the School Year Delivered by RBC </LI>

<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">7:00-7:30pm: Apprenticeship: earn while you learn valuable skills for work and life Panel of local apprentices moderated by Conestoga College  </LI>
</UL>
