Using art as a conversation as it relates to First Nations and their history in Canada - this project is a part of BC culture days

This activity will involve a very short exploration (1 hour) of some of the history and hardship felt by First Nations Peoples across the country in order to provide context for some of the difficult relationships that have occurred between First Nations Peoples and government, police, institutions of learning, religion, and the descendants of those who settled Canada. The following hours (1-2) will be used to create art together with the intention of exploring diversity and personal story and how we can use this as fuel for reconciliation and building good relationships with one another.Please have art supplies on hand, in your preferred medium. If you’re open to it and numbers are large, we may also breakout into different rooms and have smaller groups of people with which to converse with.Zoom is sorted. An update should have been sent your way.**UPDATE** We will no longer be holding the course in person. I have an in person contingent that will be participating that exists within my Covid bubble.
