<H2 CLASS="margin-bottom-40 ng-binding">Fresh air, movement and perspective. Start a new routine this fall to spend time outside moving your body. A beginner 5K learn to run program exploring the beautiful downtown trails at The Forks in a relaxed and supportive environment.</H2>

Much more than a learn to run program, this nine week program will create new routines and patterns in your life. Movement is a tool to manage stress and anxiety, feel happier, gain strength and confidence, and connect to your body. 
We run for fun. This program s designed for people who have never run before, haven't moved their bodies in a while and are looking to take the literal first step to movement. 
There is no time or pace expectation.
No one keeps score in this run club. Everyone runs to their own ability. 
Our nine week training goal culminates at the Fort Whtye Frightening Fiver, a 5K run on Thursday, October 24th. Participation in the race is completely optional and is an additional cost.
We meet and train twice a week at The Forks (Sundays at 9:30am and Wednesdays at 6:30pm) in September and October.
Graduates: skip the pre-run chat and leave promptly wth co-coach Bob at 9:30am and 6:30pm Learn to Run: a quick 3-5 minute pre-run chat, then go!
Each run will take about 30-45 minutes start to finish. Our first run is Sunday, September 8th. 
 
What we provide:
• 16 guided runs throughout September and October 
• walk/run ratio plan that starts from the beginning
• join a community of new runners 
• the accountability, commitment and motivation to get outside and move twice a week
• physiotherapist seminar on body adjustments to running
• one yoga for runners class
• a welcoming atmosphere
• a fun non-competitive environment
• introduction to downtown trails
• post run hangouts if you like
