Calling all young scientists and science lovers!We invite you to join us on Sunday, November 30th for our 2025 Faraday Show! This free event is for all young scientists who are keen to discover science.This year's theme is Expanding our Senses &amp; Movements with Tech! We will explore questions such as: What is it like to see beyond the dark like reindeer, or snakes? How can we sense invisible forces? How does a robot rover walk? and How can tech improve our balance?All these questions and more will be answered through fun demonstrations and hands-on activities.Who we are: The Faraday Show is UBC's annual science lecture, designed for children and all those who are 'young at heart'. It is presented by UBC Physics &amp; Astronomy students, faculty and staff.Where we are: <a href="https://www.maps.ubc.ca/?code=VPOI10439" title="https://www.maps.ubc.ca/?code=VPOI10439" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HEBB Theatre</a> 2045 East Mall, UBC Vancouver campus. The <a href="https://parking.ubc.ca/map" title="https://parking.ubc.ca/map" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">North Parkade</a> is the closest parking lot to the HEBB building.When: SUNDAY, November 30th, 2025<ul><li>Science Fair: 1:00PM - 1:55PM</li><li>Stage Show: 2:00PM - 3:00PM</li></ul>Cost: FREE! We ask that you please bring non-perishable food items to support Greater Vancouver Food Bank member, <a href="https://www.thekettle.ca/" title="https://www.thekettle.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Kettle Society</a>.
