Event description

Description

The FASD Network is travelling to 10 Saskatchewan communities to deliver presentations on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. FASD is a life-long, brain-based disability that causes mild to severe impairment in physical, cognitive, sensory and behavioural development. This ability affects approximately 5% of the Saskatchewan population yet it remains relatively unknown so the FASD Network is travelling across the province to provide education on this unique disability.

The hour and a half presentations will include a free lunch and focus on explaining what FASD is, the areas that individuals with the disability may experience impairments and how these impairments may affect their behaviours and actions.

The presentations are open to anyone in the community! The information presented will be of interest to:

  • Frontline workers

  • Support workers

  • Social workers

  • Community agencies

  • Students

  • Childcare workers

  • Education professionals

  • Caregivers

  • Family Members

  • Individuals with FASD

  • & more!
