Mariana Guerra-Maupomé, DVM, PhD

Dr. Mariana Guerra-Maupomé is a specialist in Animal Health Management, Animal Welfare, Pathology, Animal Production, and Applied Research. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, USA, with a major in Veterinary Immunology focusing on calf bacterial and viral respiratory diseases. She also holds board certification by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Additionally, Dr. Guerra-Maupomé earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) with a major in Animal Science from Universidad Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

Dr. Guerra-Maupomé joined TELUS Agriculture, formerly known as Feedlot Health Management Services, in 2019. Her primary goals are to improve animal health and maximize production efficiency by supporting and guiding the areas of immunology, animal health, and management. She is a passionate and highly efficient leader who quickly establishes trust and confidence to engage and build cohesive teams. With her strong ability to motivate people and her multicultural experience working and living internationally, Dr. Guerra-Maupomé brings a unique and valuable perspective to the organization.

Katie Trottier, M.Sc.

Originally from Ontario, Katie has an MSc in Animal Nutrition from the University of Guelph where her research focused on forage/grain ratios in finishing lamb diets, rumen health and animal performance. She has been with Perennia since 2020 and has a particular interest in helping producers with their feeding and grazing plans, along with tangible goal-setting.
