Fermenting Workshop

Fermenting Workshop

Overview

Free food skills workshop!

Want to learn how to preserve with fermentation? Join Emillie Parrish, cookbook author and blogger behind FermentingForFoodies.com for a night of fermentation and fun. Using the bounty of the season, we'll make salt-brine preserved apples and thrifty scrap apple vinegar.

Please bring 2 pint-sized jars (500 ml) with lids, a cutting board, peeler and pairing knife. We will provide the apples and other ingredients.

Join us in the United Commons Kitchen at 932 Balmoral Road from 6 - 8 pm.

Don't have these supplies, but still want to participate? Jars and tools are available to borrow from the NPNA, please send an email to community@npna.ca if you are not able to bring your own.
