We are focused on supporting digital justice and building gender and racial equity in STEAM by providing access to space, educational workshops, tools, and resources; along with opportunities for mentorship, employment, and production.

Pinnguaq Iqaluit Makerspace

Join our 9-week Filmmaking Camp and learn secrets from behind the camera. Dates: Every Tuesday from April 14th to May 19th.Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm Designed for ages 8-14. No experience needed, just bring your imagination to the Iqaluit Makerspace. We’ll provide all of the tools and materials!This program will explore the basics of filmmaking - including camera work, storytelling, directing, introductory acting principles and editing everything together.Towards the end of the program, learners will use the skills they’ve gained to make their very own short film.
