Established in 1992, Islamic Family & Social Services Association (IslamicFamily) is an Edmonton-based non-profit registered charity that  provides a holistic approach to community well-being that is culturally and spiritually sensitive. IslamicFamily serves our community through a halal food bank, family violence counseling, a youth program, refugee support, and much more.

Take a break from the busyness of everyday life and discover the calming power of creativity in Finding Calm Through Creative Lines. This beginner-friendly workshop, facilitated by Rihab Khachan, invites participants to explore abstract line art inspired by one of the 99 Names of Allah.Using simple, repetitive patterns and flowing lines, you’ll create a unique piece of artwork while practicing mindfulness, relaxation, and creative expression. No artistic experience is necessary, this workshop is designed for anyone who wants to unwind, connect with others, and enjoy the process of creating in a welcoming and supportive environment.All art supplies are provided, and you’ll leave with your own finished artwork, new drawing techniques, and a renewed sense of calm and inspiration. Whether you’re looking to try something new, deepen your creativity, or simply enjoy a peaceful evening, this workshop offers a meaningful and enriching experience for all.
