About this event
Are you new to improv, or want to reignite an interest in theatre from years ago? Dip your toe into the spontaneous, and step forward into a world of laughter, and possibilities.
4 :30pm-6:00pm on Saturdays
$ 38 + GST

Tightrope Studio is located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded Indigenous territories belonging to the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We hold this space as a home for artistic exploration and community building, and welcome BIPOC, LGBTQ2+ folks, as well as allies and settlers.
Accessibility info:
The main entrance is the ground floor. The door is wide enough to accommodate a standardized wheelchair and electric wheelchair. Our main lobby, bar and theatre are wheelchair accessible. Our stage is not as it is raised about 4inches off the ground.
Our bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. The closest wheelchair accessible washroom is at the Mount Pleasant Community Centre, across the street from the theatre. Their hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 6 am-10 pm, Saturday, 8 am-6 pm, and Sunday, 9 am to 6 pm.

No! This class is a great intro to impro, improv, theatre or performing, and no experience necessary!
We have a street level entrance onto Main Street. Our workshop space has a small raised level for performing, but we are happy to work around it if need be. Our bathroom is on the same level, smaller than a proper accessible washroom, but can serve most peoples needs.
If you cancel 72 hours or more before the course start date, you will receive a full refund, with the exception of The First Step which is non refundable. If you cancel within 72 hours of the class starting you may receive:100% Credit or a 50% Refund. Once a class has begun there will be no refunds.
