Principal/Specialist Engineer, Alpine Civil Engineering Consultants

James Kay is a Professional Engineer who has been designing, administering and approving land development and municipal engineering projects across Canada since 2001. He has served in the public sector with three different municipalities, taught at two post-secondary institutions, on the Boards of ACEC-BC, UDI Okanagan, and CHBA Central Okanagan, and competed in the private sector as a developer, builder, and consulting civil engineer.

Business Center Practice Leader, Water, BC, Stantec

James Kay is a Professional Engineer who has been designing, administering and approving land development and municipal engineering projects across Canada since 2001. He has served in the public sector with three different municipalities, taught at two post-secondary institutions, on the Boards of ACEC-BC, UDI Okanagan, and CHBA Central Okanagan, and competed in the private sector as a developer, builder, and consulting civil engineer.

Engineering Lead, Kelowna, Aplin Martin

Josh Graff brings extensive experience in managing land development and municipal projects across British Columbia. He has successfully overseen capital works projects as well as onsite and offsite servicing for a wide range of developments, including single-family, multi-family, commercial, institutional, and master-planned communities. His expertise spans the implementation of innovative servicing strategies over the entire project lifecycle—from feasibility studies to construction completion.


🎤 Tim Barnes

Water Resources Engineer, Urban Systems

A Water Resources Engineer with over a decade of experience in Hydrology, Hydraulic design, watershed management, and resilient infrastructure design, focused on practical, sustainable solutions that support climate resilience. Originally from Nova Scotia, I have a strong appreciation for natural systems within my work and life. Outside of engineering, I enjoy spending time with family, hiking/backpacking, running long, and all things food related.
