Lakeside Community Garden's mission is to provide Kingston residents with a gardening space to share, learn, and grow.  Our hope is that involvement in the garden will promote community building, education, biodiversity, climate resilience and help grow a healthy and sustainable local food system.

Join us for a free hands-on workshop where we'll explore the art of creating beautiful textiles from foraged plants!

<p>On Saturday, September 20 (raindate: Sunday, Sept. 21), Lakeside is hosting a foraged textiles workshop. All materials provided. We will sample making cordage and plaiting, and discuss also knitting, looping, twining, and weaving with foraged fibres. Some of the fibres we'll be using are commonly found in gardens: iris leaf, daffodil stem and leaf, day lily leaf, rhubarb skin, blackberry bramble, and dandelion stem. </p><p>Workshop led by Katherine Romba.</p>
