Forensic Analysis in Construction Project Planning

Our next meeting on June 1st will allow you to better understand the use of different methods in forensic analysis of project schedules. The context and the objectives of these methods vary. The AACEi’s RP 29R-03 provides a useful reference to better understand the concept of forensic analysis. Several factors can contribute to a successful forensic analysis including using the right planning tools. Another challenge is to employ the right criteria to complete the analysis; judgement, timing and experience are key elements that can drive a successful analysis.
•	Context and objectives of using forensic analysis;
•	Importance of reference schedule (Baseline) and contractual milestones (Contract award, bonus, penalties, change orders, negotiations, commissioning…)
•	Prospective methods (preliminary-project, bidding and risk analysis);
•	Delay analysis methods (Retrospective);
•	Feedback after updates, collaboration between stakeholders for the success of a project.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------La conférence du 1er juin prochain vous permettra de mieux comprendre l’utilisation de différentes méthodologies en analyse forensics des échéanciers. Le contexte et l’objectif de ces méthodes sont très larges. La RP 29R-03 de l’AACEi offre beaucoup de littérature utile pour mieux comprendre les analyses forensics. Les outils en planification sont nombreux et peuvent s’avérer très utiles. Les critères d’analyses sont également nombreux. Le JUGEMENT, le TIMING, l’EXPÉRIENCE sont des facteurs de succès.
•	Contexte et les objectifs de l’utilisation des analyses forensics;
•	L’importance de l’échéancier de référence (Baseline) et les jalons contractuels (Attribution du contrat, bonus, pénalités, avenants, négociation, mise-en-service…);
•	Méthodes prospectives (Avant-projet, soumission et analyse de risque);
•	Méthodes d’analyse des délais (Rétrospectives);
•	Rétroactions lors de mise à jour, collaboration entre les parties prenantes pour le succès d’un projet.
