T﻿his is a fundraising event to raise funds for an important cultural ceremonial gathering hosted by Turtle Protectors to kick off our season. Funds raised will help pay for Elders, Drummers, Singers, and Fire Keeper to conduct the ceremony. A typical walk costs $40. We appreciate people donating a fair amount to support Turtle Protectors.Carolynne, a Forest Therapy Guide, Mentor, and Trainer for more than five years will focus upon breaking down colonial ways of thinking that separate people from their natural surroundings. She will share the importance of building reciprocal relations with the lands, waters, and all beings. Carolynne will guide a forest therapy experience in High park along with sharing Indigenous perspectives to support participants to slow down and to connect through their senses.
