As the morning dew lifts and the birds are singing, morning is an especially precious time to be outside. This is a chance to slow down, unplug, and reconnect. Also known as 'forest bathing' or 'shinrin-yoku', this is a beautiful way to connect with yourself, nature, and an intimate group. During this session, a certified Forest Therapy guide will lead you on a slow and gentle walk interspersed with invitations to pause and explore your senses. We will move intentionally and slowly, focusing more on noticing our surroundings than on getting to a destination. 
Common benefits include reduced stress, heightened sensory awareness, and increased sense of place and community. Scientific studies have shown that forest therapy can help strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure, and ease symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Cost: $40 per person, or $100 for families of 3 or more (maximum 2 adults) 
Please calculate the payment required for yourself or your group, and enter the full amount when purchasing your ticket. Ticketing in this way helps me keep administrative costs low, as I am just a tiny local business!
 
About Your Guide
Kristina is a certified Forest Therapy Guide who feels blessed to be able to help facilitate connection and healing for others. Her backgrounds as an ecologist / botanist and yoga instructor help to inform her ability to guide this practice with knowledge and compassion.
Accessibility
The terrain will mainly be flat, with some opportunities for mindful wandering off of maintained trails. You will be provided with a foam pad or stool to sit on for periods of stillness throughout the session. Indoor washrooms are available at Viamede Resort. At the end of the walk you will be treated to a wild-foraged herbal tea and a light snack. If you have any accessibility concerns, please contact me prior to purchasing your ticket.
