Forest Walk: Forest Therapy
Slow your steps, awaken your senses, and reconnect with the quiet wisdom of the woods.
Forest Therapy Walk at Doon Heritage Village
Step away from the noise and into the quiet embrace of the forest.
Join us for a guided Forest Therapy Walk led by Susan Reid of Deep Roots Walk through the peaceful natural areas surrounding Doon Heritage Village. This gentle, immersive experience invites you to slow your pace, awaken your senses, and deepen your connection with the more-than-human world.
Through guided invitations inspired by the practice of forest bathing, Susan will help you tune into the sights, sounds, textures, and rhythms of the land. There’s no rush, no destination — just space to breathe, notice, and be present.
This is more than just a hike — it’s an opportunity to restore your nervous system, reduce stress, and reconnect with yourself through meaningful time outdoors.
Meet at Guest Services at 10:00 a.m.
Susan and museum staff will welcome you and get you checked in. The walk will last approximately 1.5–2 hours.
