Guided meditative forest walks designed to Unlearn Colonial Habits of Being.
Flash & Soul and friends are guiding the nine walks and root practices from Unlearning Colonial Habits of Being: Forest Walk Invitations.
The nine walks run throughout the summer. This listing is for three Saturdays in June with Tanya and Sarah. Please see our other Eventbrite listings for dates in July and August. I highly recommend visiting our website for full details, to register and quickly select your preferred dates, to pay by cash or e-transfer, and to access discounts.
“The walks are designed to see ourselves as entangled with land as a living entity who is bio-intelligent without selecting to connect only with what is beautiful and elating about it.”
Session consists of a welcome, meditative walk, reflection, and activities. Also shared is an article excerpt that invites walkers into a deeper understanding of the violence that coloniality inflicts on land, Indigenous Peoples, and our collective existence.
Prior to the walk, participants will be sent optional preparatory instructions, the exact meeting location, and a short list of what to bring.
Walks are intended for people of all ages and all abilities.
