Join us over your lunch break to learn all about becoming a foster caregiver - for children both big and small!<h2>Are you interested in becoming a foster caregiver?</h2>Join our virtual info session to learn more about the process! Whether you're just starting to consider fostering or have been thinking about it for a while, this session is perfect for you. We will discuss opportunities for short-term or relief foster care, full-time caregiving, as well as our foster-adoption model. We are happy to work with all schedules! Our need is urgent, whether you can provide care for newborns up to teenagers!<h3>What to expect:</h3><ul><li>Overview of the foster care system</li><li>Requirements and elligibility</li><li>Support and resources available</li><li>Q&amp;A with an experienced foster caregiver</li></ul>Our Recruitment Worker will answer any questions you might have. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference in a child's life!If you cannot make our info sessions, not too worry! It is not a required step to begin the process. Please note that presently due to staffing changes, meetings cannot be scheduled until mid-to-late November 2025.The Zoom meeting link will be emailed out 7 days prior, and again the morning of the session to all registered attendees.Currently, there are approoximately 204 children in foster care with the Children's Aid Society of London &amp; Middlesex, and only 70 foster homes. We are seeking caregivers who can offer both short and long-term care of children, for all ages. It is important to highlight that as with agencies across Ontario, there is an over-representation of transgender &amp; non-binary youth, Black, and Indigenous children in care who deserve caregivers who can reflect &amp; honour their unique identities. We believe that all children belong in supportive family-based care within their communities in order to thrive.ABOUT USThe Children’s Aid Society of London &amp; Middlesex (CASLM) provides services to vulnerable children, youth and families in Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada.
