It is a traditional fighting system that focuses on weapons training—especially using sticks, blades, and improvised weapons—while also teaching empty-hand self-defense techniques. Practitioners learn striking, blocking, footwork, disarming, and control techniques using rattan sticks, knives, and open-hand movements. Arnis training helps develop speed, coordination, reflexes, discipline, and confidence.
