Mallika Sothinathan came to Canada as a first-generation immigrant. She has worked with one of most successful retail company for two decades. Prior to this profession Mallika dabbled with media. Training in post-production helped her to take on global projects. Mallika believes in helping people tell their story. Advocacy comes naturally. Hence after a long career in corporate she travelled to the other side of the world to advocate the rights of domestic workers who still do not have a law. Hence the film “Crossing the river of Life “was born currently it was chosen as an online entry in the Amsterdam Online film festival, she is also an author, her book “Lokhi and I”, is currently available in Amazon. Both these projects were under her company “New Horizon Media Arts Inc. “She is currently in the postproduction stage of “Sree” An episodic series on North American women and various social justice themes that resembles Canadian seasons.Mallika is a Postgraduate in Mass communication and a Distinguished Toastmaster. Mallika also pursued Social work as a mature student, to understand the pragmatics of social justice in a developed country. Currently Mallika is heading Public Relations and communications for Prospecta software. She is starting the Canadian chapter. She says, “I am a Change catalyst who believes in turning adversities in to opportunities.”

The day will begin with a sound meditation, followed by a painting competition for children, and culminating in a vibrant showcase of entertainment.Our lineup includes the captivating Musical Ensemble featuring Amisha, Raj, and Melanie, presenting "East meets West." Following this, Pure Soul Energy will dazzle the audience with a mesmerizing Dance Drama. We are also honored to host special guest Mousumi Sen Bhattacharya, who will enchant us with her renditions of Bengali songs.Throughout the event, guests can enjoy a variety of experiences, from live music to handicrafts and delectable cuisine. Our international students will grace the stage with a stunning fashion show, while DJ Jay Asghar will ensure the beats keep everyone moving.Founded in Mississauga, New Horizon Media Arts is committed to promoting social justice through various initiatives. What is Sound Healing?Sound is ENERGY IN MOTION.Sound healing is the practice of using audio tunes and vibrational frequencies from various sound healing instruments to repair damaged tissues and cells within the body. It works on the basis that all matter is vibrating at specific frequencies and sickness, disease, depression and stress causes human beings to vibrate at a lower frequency.
