Join us for a live medicine concert and fundraiser with sacred music artists using their voices to raise money for the Amazon region.

<h2>Event  Summary</h2><p><strong>ALL FUNDS raised for this event will be directly donated to a Shipibo-Konibo community in Peru for local community projects and supporting the healing work of the Jakon Rate family. A portion of the funds will also be used to buy up rainforest in the Amazon to protect it forever via the Rainforest Trust.</strong></p><p><strong>Please donate if you&#x27;re able to, even just $5 helps!</strong></p><p>Part of the funds raised will be matched by generous donors from our community.</p><p>This is going to be a concert and there will be plenty of music. The Amazon region nourishes our lungs with purified and crisp air, rain for our soil, and healing medicines for our soul. An endless ocean of biodiversity, traditions, and language resides in its rivers, soil, trees, roots, and peoples. The Amazon is the heartbeat of Pachamama and it has selflessly loved us and fed us and our children for millions of years.</p><p>Every single day, wherever we live the Amazon influences our daily life and gives to us with unlimited kindness and benevolence. Today, the Amazon and its peoples need us more than ever to support and protect them from the forces of extractive industries.</p><p>It is time to give back in sacred reciprocity to help regenerate the region and its communities so they can thrive and grow into a new global paradigm where forests are not seen as resources, but as life itself.</p><p>The Canadian Psychedelic Association stands in solidarity with all land defenders around the world protecting our priceless forests, rivers, and air from extractive industries and infinite growth mindsets. From Fairy Creek to the Amazon basin, we honour and send love and gratitude to all of those placing mind, body, and lives on the line to protect the sacred and interconnected web of life we owe our existence to.</p>

<h1>Manuela Mahua Ahuanari - <a href="https://www.jakonrate.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.jakonrate.org</a></h1><p>Manuela Mahua comes from a long-standing and well-respected family lineage of Shipibo-Konibo healers from the upper and lower Ucayali regions of the Peruvian Amazon. Born in 1947, she has 60 years of experience working with her ancestral medicine. She began apprenticing with her father at age 13.</p><p>Today she heals and teaches, to both Shipibo-Konibo and foreigners alike. She has a vast knowledge and understanding of the natural pharmacy of her land and is very open to sharing it with those who are willing to make the commitment to carry on the tradition.</p><p>Manuela is an altruistic, generous, and positive force. She cares deeply for all of her students and provides individual attention and care that only a great grandmother can give. She embodies her given Shipibo-Konibo name *Jakon Rate* and truly is a *Life-Giving Good Surprise* for all who meet and learn with her!</p>

<h1>Guest Bios</h1><h1><a href="http://eastforest.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">East Forest</a> </h1><p>East Forest is an international leader in underground sound meditation, utilizing his skilled instrumental repertoire to create space for people to find themselves and transcend nature, technology, music, and the human experience. Possible is the latest chapter in his ever-evolving career, which includes over 25 albums, including 2019’s album length collaboration with spiritual pioneer Ram Dass, the five-hour long psilocybin soundtrack Music For Mushrooms: A Soundtrack For the Psychedelic Practitioner, and collaborations with artists Jon Hopkins, Typhoon, Laraaji, Dead Prez, Trevor Hall, and more. As a trailblazer in the international wellness movement, he’s guided students through a brain-body approach aimed towards non-religious spirituality and conducted retreats at the Esalen Institute, Google and Johns Hopkins neuroaesthetics project, Wavepaths, Consciousness Hacking, TED, and more. <h1><a href="http://yaimamusic.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Yaima</a></h1><p>Featuring Multi-Instrumentalist &amp; Producer Masaru Higasa and Vocalist Pepper Proud has often been described as timeless and unmistakable, offering a balanced synergy of both the masculine and feminine expression. Their melodious soundscapes showcase instruments from all over the world.</p><p>Inspired by the Majesty of Nature their musings encompass the listener with driving and revitalizing organic rhythms, transcendent electronic production, warm soothing female vocals and heartened lyricism.</p><p>Their intention is to create a bridge between Nature and Humankind, an expansive experience that encourages growth and graceful passage for the hearts and minds of their listeners.</p><p>The name YAIMA emerges from two sources one from the Mapudungun language meaning "that which water runs through” and the other from the culturally preserved Yaeyama District of Okinawa Japan- Over the last 5 years YAIMAs music has been reaching the ears and hearts of listeners from all around the world.</p>

<h1><a href="http://ixchelprisma.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ixchel Prisma</a></h1><p>Ixchel Prisma is a life long vocalist, song writer, performer and sound healer who brings beauty and vibrancy through her music.</p><p>She is an independent artist dedicated to bringing uplifting and high vibrational music to the world.</p><p>The music she creates is designed with the intention to inspire inspiration, healing, transformation, and expansion.</p><p>Subtle electronic sounds and acoustic instrumentals are blended together with uplifting lyrics, wide ranging vocals, and poetry, submerging listeners into a full spectrum experience...Leaving your heart blasted wide open...Writing and music have been deep passions for Ixchel since she was a child. The majority of Ixchel's material is original writing and composition, and is inspired by her walk in this life.</p><p>Some of her songs were written in the midst of loss and despair, others in the peaks of ecstasy and breakthrough. Others are the deepest prayers for what she wishes too see come to fruition. In all cases, her music speaks to the many aspects of the human experience, and cater to the journey of the soul's awakening.</p><p>In addition to writing her own material, Ixchel has also been studying and singing sacred healing songs from many indigenous cultures for many years. She carries traditional healing songs from all corners of the globe, and weaves these cultural treasures in with her own prayers for the planet.</p>

<h1><a href="https://soundcloud.com/user-jerrywalsh" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jerry Walsh</a></h1><p><a href="https://soundcloud.com/user-jerrywalsh" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>Jerry Walsh is a musician and vocalist, weaving together ancient and otherworldly sounds from sacred traditions across the globe and creating shamanic sound journeys. He has collaborated with Merkaba (Kayla Scintilla), SriKala, Native American hip-hop artist Supaman, and American beatbox champion Mark Martin. He has been student of Taino elder, Maestro Manuel Rufino since 2012, studying the indigenous shamanic cultures of the Americas and other wisdom traditions. Jerry has traveled to 30 countries on five continents and spent a full year studying Buddhism and Himalayan culture in India, Nepal, and Bhutan from 2010-2011. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with the Golden Drum community when he is not on tour sharing music and meditation with partner, Ixchel Prisma.</p>

<h1><a href="https://www.murraykyle.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Murray Kyle</a></h1><p><a href="https://www.murraykyle.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>From a life rich in musical pilgrimage, comes the auditory download of Murray Kyle.</p><p>Hailing from the visionary Byron Bay region of Australia, this mystic troubadour has built a dedicated international fan base from 15 years of grass roots touring all over the world. His live performances of heart medicine and Earth honouring songs, successfully blend conscious lyrics and authentic intention with a well produced sound. The inner world of this profound artist comes alive on stage spanning Shamanic Soul, Conscious Roots, World, and Sacred Music genres.</p><p>A prolific songwriter, multi instrumentalist, and sound engineer, Murray has released multiple self produced studio albums over the last decade, grounded in unity consciousness, and dedicated to the re-awakening of the beauty way.</p><p> His journey in the worldwide heart music network, has led to studio and live collaborations with artists such as Rising Appalachia, Nessi Gomes, Tina Malia, Trevor Hall, Elijah Ray, Peia, Shimshai, and many more.</p><p>This is contagious soul restoring music that will sweep you off your feet, out of your head, and into your heart. </p>

<h1><a href="https://littlewhale.bandcamp.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Little Whale</a></h1><p>Through her latest project Little Whale, Lauren Haberman weaves intimate vocal melodies with hypnotizing nylon guitar lines, serving listeners with deference to ancestral plant teachings and altered states of consciousness.</p><p>“Tejedora Cosmica", the follow up to Little Whale’s debut album “Movement of the Dawn” will be released in 2021.  You can listen to her latest single “All I Ask” <a href="https://music.apple.com/us/album/all-i-ask-single/1568241455" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>.</p><p></p>

<h1><a href="https://www.wildgracerising.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Lindsay Thomson</a></h1><p><a href="https://www.wildgracerising.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>She has been a devoted student of the medicine path for over 12 years, and has been assisting and co-facilitating retreats for the past 5 years. She supports the medicine community as a Preparation and Integration Guide and brings the healing arts of Somatic Therapy, Shamanic Arts, Meditation, and Yoga to her therapeutic practice. She is particularly passionate in supporting women to rise into their majesty at all stages of life. She is a passionate mother and is particularly in service to empowering Mothers on their sacred journey.</p><p>Lindsay is an initiated Sufi and trained leader of the Dances of Universal Peace, a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, a Doula, and a PMT Mesa Carrier. She is devoted to personal and collective healing, and is especially devoted to the path of raising her beautiful 4 year old son, Arthur.</p><p>Find her @wildgracerising on Instagram</p><h1>Chris Rodman </h1><p>Chris is an integration guide and musician living in Nelson, BC. He serves from a place of integrity, caring curiosity, understanding, and empathetic intuition. He creates a container of safety, confidentiality, and empowerment; present and welcoming to all wherever you are at.</p><p>In 2010, Chris experienced his first plant medicine ceremony; this set in motion a motorcycle journey across South America and an ongoing relationship, healing, and education with the wisdom of the Plant Teachers. Visiting the Amazon is now a regular part of life that informs him ever more deeply about the interconnectivity of all things. It is with great respect, humility, and gratitude that Chris continues his work with entheogens.</p><p>He is a certified addictions recovery and psycho-spiritual integration coach with Being True To You . With a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and trained as a CHEK Practitioner, Chris is well connected in the holistic elements of human health and fitness.</p><p>Chris is a husband and father who lives in the mountains of British Columbia. He has retired from a long career crew leading in wildfire suppression, to follow and feed the fire in his heart about serving those who feel called to growth and transformation; pointing to the shaman in each one of us.</p>

<h1>Host - Pascal Tremblay</h1><p>Pascal if a founding board member of the CPA. He is a social impact entrepreneur and has 15 years of experience working in communications, design, and strategy. He is particularly passionate about environmental conservation, social justice campaigns, and helping transform systems that stopped serving the greater good. He is dedicated to serving the psychedelic space after healing from years of depression and anxiety with the help of psychedelic therapy, music, and supportive friends and family.</p><p>His deep passion for music and its power for change started 25 years ago when he stumbled upon his sister's yellow Walkman with a Metallica cassette in it. Ever since then, music has been his muse and has been an important part of his healing journey and all aspects of his work and life.</p>
