FutureSprint: Different by Design
Presented by LCI Melbourne and Future Anything.
FutureSprint: Different by Design is a full-day Melbourne Design Week learning experience hosted at LCI Melbourne, designed specifically for high school students interested in creativity, design, business, and innovation.
Across guided workshops, campus immersion, and collaborative challenges, participants will explore how design thinking, entrepreneurship, and brand strategy can be used to respond to real-world social and environmental issues.
Attendees can expect hands-on activities led by LCI Melbourne educators and Future Anything facilitators, opportunities to prototype ideas, develop purposeful brand concepts, and build confidence in pitching and communication.
The day concludes with short elevator pitches presented to an expert panel, offering students insight into how creative ideas can be shaped into future-focused solutions aligned with Melbourne Design Week’s 2026 theme.

9:45am | Workshop 1: Entrepreneurial Mindset
Identifying meaningful social and environmental problems and reframing them as opportunities (Future Anything).
10:30am | Morning Tea
Informal reflection and peer connection.
10:40am | Workshop 2: Design Thinking & Prototyping
Ideation, empathy mapping, and rapid prototyping (LCI Melbourne).
11:20am | Workshop 3: Brand Strategy
Developing purposeful brand concepts and storytelling (LCI Melbourne).
12:00pm | Lunch & Mentor Café
On‑campus networking with educators, mentors, and alumni.
12:30pm | Workshop 4: Pitching & Persuasion
Refining ideas and building confidence in communication (Future Anything).
