Gentle Explorers – Sensory Drop-In Program
Overview
Gentle Explorers (GEM) at MOFP. This program provides a safe and welcoming space where children can explore at their own pace while caregivers receive support, connect with others, and access helpful resources.
Each session includes sensory-rich activities, calming areas, and opportunities for parents and caregivers to share experiences in a relaxed setting.
What to Expect
- Small group setting (limited to 8 families per session)
- Open sensory play with themed days (sound play, textures, water play, and more)
- Calming corners and a listening station
- Low-stimulation environment with dimmed lighting
- Access to our Early Learning Library
- Caregiver support, resource sharing, and discussion time
- Neurodiverse-friendly strategies and guidance
Caregivers are welcome to play alongside their children, take breaks when needed, or participate in informal discussions with other parents.

📍 Location: Marpole Community Hub (8188 Lord Street, Vancouver)
🗓 When: Mondays, 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
🚫 Excludes statutory holidays
📅 Program Start Date: October 6, 2025

- Weekly registration is required
- Limited to 8 families per session
