<H2>Get Rusty: A Brief Introduction to the Rust Programming Language</H2>
<P>This workshop will be a short introduction to Rust.</P>
<P>Rust is a modern, low-level language that is super fast, like Sonic the Hedgehog, but also has incredible safety guarantees: type safety (eh), thread safety (ay), and segfault prevention (ayyyy!).</P>

<P>Cargo: Rust's package manager</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Neat-o Rust features that make high-level languages envious</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Some practical examples of the compiler catching a thread-safety issue</P>
</LI>

<P>This event will be held in the International Building at TRU, in room IB 1010.</P>
