Do you love gaming and technology and want to see the Ottawa industry grow in a positive way?
On July 15 Jillian Mood & Partners and IGDA Ottawa will be hosting an event to raise awareness and support for a great Ottawa initiative, Girl Force! Come meet and mingle with Girl Force’s mentors, organizers, and students past and present. Take the time to learn about what they offer and provide for the local community and how they plan to continue impacting the gaming community while enjoying complimentary appetizers and refreshments at Atari
While the event is free, any donations would be greatly appreciated! All funds raised will be going towards Girl Force to help provide equipment, cover venue costs, advanced training for mentors, and any costs needed to continue to offer these valuable classes! But what is Girl Force?
Girl Force is a not-for-profit community organization that teaches development and software skills to women and non-binary folk in the Ottawa region. The lessons come in the form of evening class sessions, which are completely free to the students and help this underrepresented group in gaming and tech learn new skills in a comfortable and positive environment!
