How do I get to the island?

From the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, take a ferry to Wards, Hanlans or Centre. Maps will be available on the Instagram page, to help make sure you don't miss an installation.

Does the ferry cost anything, and when does it run?

The ferry schedule and the ability to purchase tickets can be found at Toronto.ca webpage. Water taxis can also sometimes be found at the base of most of the major roads on the waterfront. Seasonal availability does vary. Ticket fares are also found on theToronto.ca website.

YES! Rogue Wave would like to acknowledge the support of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation, Shadowland Theatre, and the Toronto Island community. Organizers are Leida Englar, Eliza Moore, Anthea Page and Money.

What is the history of Rogue Wave?

Four Island residents worked together in 1988 after 'rogue' installatioins were being removed by Parks staff. This event was formed to create a more official exhibition of installations in collaboration with Parks. In 2007, Warren Hoselton Parks Supervisor created Tour de Trees, bringing this back.

Who were the four residents behind Rogue Wave?

Brad Harley, Michael Davey, Julie Stone and Glenn McArthur were the original four who developed this partnership with Parks.

What can I expect to see?

The point of Rogue Wave is there are no expectations. Follow the exhibit map to find the curated installations, or just wander the island and discover the works for yourself. Past installations have included yarn, lace, rock, driftwood and even musical events.
