<h3>Avoid the lines &amp; unnecessary packaging in malls by shopping at Green Sunday because...</h3><h2><em>#greenisthenewblack</em></h2><p>We are bringing together art, music, crafts, community and companies that operate with a social and environmental purpose by selling local, upcycled, reclaimed, repurposed, fair trade, ethical sourcing, package-free, and ethical goods.</p><p>Green Sunday aims to challenge and offer an alternative to mass corporate consumerism by <strong>holding space for equitable, transparent and mindful consumption.</strong> A space where every item has a story and is contributing to building the new economy where people and planet are first. </p><p>We are encouraging Torontonians to rethink the way they shop this holiday season by showing support for companies that operate with a social and environmental purpose.</p><p><strong>In addition to the market vibe,</strong> there will be a local climate keynote by  <a href="https://kidsrighttoknow.org/about/rachels-bio/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rachel Parent</a>, a maker space, visual climate artists, zero-waste wrapping demos, a documentary film room, and the event will conclude with a local artist musical showcase for the final two hours!</p><p>It is meant to be a space to grab a drink, check out some cool art, purchase some cool and unique holiday gifts, listen to some great local music, and <strong>celebrate the work we&#x27;re all doing toward  a brighter future.</strong></p><p><strong>When: </strong>Sunday, December 8, 2019</p><p><strong>Where: </strong>720 Bathurst St. Toronto </p><p><strong>Time:</strong> 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM</p><h3><strong>&gt;&gt; Curious to know who&#x27;s participating? </strong></h3><p>Make sure you follow our <a href="https://www.instagram.com/greensunday_to/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Instagram account </a>where we&#x27;ll be revealing all of the incredible Eco-Vendors, Speakers, Artists &amp; Musicians! </p><h3><strong>&gt;&gt; Been interested in getting crafty this holiday season? </strong></h3><p>Us too, which is why we’re hosting a makerspace! You’ll have the opportunity to choose an up-cycled fabric and make a lovely holiday gift bag that also doubles as a produce bag after the holidays! </p><h3><strong>&gt;&gt; Curious to learn how you can wrap your holiday gifts without producing unnecessary waste? </strong></h3><p>We’ve got you ;) Check out one of our zero waste wrapping demos for some clever ideas! </p><h3><strong>&gt;&gt; The holidays are better with yummy nibbles &amp; festive drinks! </strong></h3><p>We’ll have plenty of tasty snacks, hot chocolate, wine &amp; beer for purchase to keep you nice and warm while you enjoy the market. </p><h3><strong>&gt;&gt; Interested in bringing the whole family? </strong></h3><p>Please do!
