Overview

Here is an opportunity to complete work on a bonsai in your collection in need of repotting, or one where you want to change the container.

Bonsai is the art of growing and shaping miniature trees in containers. Come and learn how to make and care for your own with Darren Melhus from the BC Bonsai Society.

Part of a series of sessions that go deep into a few timely topics and guide you through work that will improve a tree from your collection.This one will focus on repotting and students will learn the process and then repot their own tree. It is a great opportunity to complete work on a bonsai in your collection in need of repotting, or one where you want to change the container.

Bring a bonsai or nursery tree. All other supplies like wire, soil, and plastic training pots will be provided for a small sized bonsai.

Dress in your gardening clothes for this one, and bring your favourite garden gloves.

This class is hands-on in a covered outdoor space, so dress for the weather in clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. Prepare to enjoy an afternoon of education and creativity!

Absolutely no experience is required.

Workshop space is limited to 10.
