Body Hack 2020 - POSTPONED
 
Due to growing concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus, and recommendations from the Chief Administration Officer for the Town of Whitby, Ontario, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our 4th annual Hackathon, Body Hack, until further notice.
 
We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak over the past few weeks, and while the risk level for Canadians remains low, we have made the decision to err on the side of caution in order to keep our staff, supporters, participants and community safe.

Our annual Hackathon has been, and continues to be, an exciting event that brings innovative thinkers together in the heart of Downtown Whitby for 36 hours of technological inspiration. Postponing this event was a decision that was not taken lightly, and we will push forward with a bigger and better Body Hack in the future.
Once we are able to secure a new date for the event, we will share the news.

Technology is having a tremendous impact on healthcare with innovative solutions being developed to help diagnose and treat diseases, the creation of advanced prosthetic devices, and much more. For geekspeak's 4th annual hackathon, Body Hack, participants will work in teams for 36-hours to create a hardware and/or software prototype that addresses a healthcare issue. We want to demonstrate how technology can be used to improve the lives of people locally as well as around the world.
Professional and student software developers, designers, marketers, healthcare workers, engineers and more are welcome to attend the hackathon. Teams will consist of 2-5 members. Join as a team of 5 or we'll match you up with others with complementary skills.   
 
Challenge Yourself
Put together a concept, develop your software and/or hardware prototype and present it to a panel of judges, all in 36 hours. It's an exciting challenge and a great opportunity to meet others, share ideas and have fun!
