Hand Building Clay Workshop

Hand Building Clay Workshop

Metro RestaurantKitchener, ON
Sunday, Feb 22 from 1 pm to 3 pm EST
Overview

Love crafts? Love pottery? Love unwinding with cray and a delicious cocktail? Well do I have the event for you...

Join us for an afternoon of clay hand-building where you’ll learn to sculpt your very own flower candlestick. Whether you're coming solo or with a friend, this beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect way to unwind, get a little messy, and discover the joy of ceramics—no experience needed!

In this 2-hour session, professional ceramics teacher Sarah will guide you step-by-step through the process of building your candlestick from start to finish. With visual examples, instruction sheets, and plenty of encouragement, you’ll learn the basics of coil construction, surface design, and the importance of embracing the perfectly imperfect process of pottery.

We’ll start by sharing what sparks our creativity (pets, pop culture, nature—it all counts!) and as the workshop flows, you’ll assemble your candlestick, and choose your glaze finish before handing it off for firing. Finished candlesticks will be ready for pickup 2–4 weeks after the workshop.

All tools, clay, and materials are provided—just bring your imagination and your favorite people.
Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
