Hand Sewing Workshop

Join this workshop to learn a new skill and practice hand sewing!

Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).

The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Rosalyn Faustino was born and raised in Calgary, but her artistic practice took shape in Toronto, where her education and creative experimentation flourished. It was there that she discovered her deep connection to textiles — a medium that offered both expressive freedom and a sense of comfort. Now back in Calgary, Rosalyn lives with her son and husband, where she shares her passion by teaching people of all ages how to sew, explore, and play through making.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists.

Alcove is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!
