Overview

Get your hands in the clay. Build something beautiful. Make it yours. All ages welcome!

There's something quietly extraordinary about shaping a piece of clay with your own two hands — and watching it become something you'll actually use. In this two-part workshop, you'll be guided through the fundamentals of handbuilding pottery in a relaxed, supportive space where curiosity is welcomed and there are no wrong shapes.

Working with coil building, slab rolling, and sculpting techniques, you'll create your own functional pieces — think cups, bowls, vases, or simple sculptures — entirely your own from start to finish. The first session is dedicated to building and forming your work, while the second brings it all together with glazing and colour before your pieces are kiln-fired and ready to take home.

Part 1: Tuesday, May 26th | 6:00–8:00 PM
Part 2: Tuesday, June 16th | 6:00–8:00 PM

Who is this for:

This workshop is perfect for anyone who has ever wanted to try pottery but didn't know where to begin — and just as rewarding for those looking to reconnect with the joy of making something by hand. All ages are welcome (recommended 6 and up), and no prior experience is needed whatsoever. Come ready to explore, experiment, and get a little clayey.

Location & Experience:

Held in the artist's converted garage studio, this intimate creative space is designed to make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door — a truly local, one-of-a-kind experience. Further access details will be provided upon your booking confirmation.

Your ticket includes:

  • Admission to both sessions — Part 1 (May 26th) and Part 2 (June 16th)
  • All clay, materials, and tools — everything you need is provided
  • Personalized guidance from start to finish
  • Glazing session and kiln-firing of your finished pieces
  • Your own handmade functional creations to take home and treasure

Please note: each attendee — adult or child — requires an individual ticket. Your ticket covers both sessions.
