Answering the Call: A Ramadan Night for Orphans

Answering the Call: A Ramadan Night for Orphans

Maz Hall | Salle de RéceptionMontréal, QC
Saturday, Mar 14 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Overview

HCI & BMI Mcgill are organizing this Iftar program with the sincere intention of supporting orphaned children in Sudan.

Human Concern International (HCI) and Black Muslim Initiative (BMI) McGill are honored to jointly organize a special Iftar Program dedicated to supporting orphaned children in Sudan.

This meaningful evening will bring our community together in the spirit of Ramadan — a month of compassion, generosity, and solidarity. The distinguished guest speaker of the evening will be Imam Youssef Fofana, President of Regroupement Culturel Islamique Africain de Montréal and Imam of Tawuba Mosque. He will deliver a special talk focused on the importance of caring for orphans in Islam and our collective responsibility toward vulnerable communities.

The program will begin with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by Imam Fofana’s talk on the virtue and significance of supporting orphans. After the Iftar meal, a dedicated fundraising segment will take place to generate support and resources for orphaned children and families in need in Sudan.

All donations and proceeds collected during this program will be directly allocated to charitable initiatives benefiting Sudanese orphans, helping provide essential needs such as food, care, and basic living support.

We invite everyone to join us in this blessed gathering and take part in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Sudan. May Allah accept our efforts and grant relief and hope to those in need.
