Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA)

The Health Science Workshop (HSW) is back in-person for 2023! This year, it will take place during February 4th and 5th, 2023 at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA) on the University of Alberta Campus. HSW is an incredible opportunity for high school students to explore the many fields encompassed by the health sciences. HSW gives students the chance to learn the basics of multiple types of health science and explore future career options all while participating in hands-on challenges and activities! Students will rotate through different stations with their groups. Each station has a lecture and hands-on component to introduce them to fields such as sports medicine, genetics, physiology, medical laboratory science, and more! They will also be given the opportunity to interact with current students as well as working professionals in these fields during our guest panel. Bursaries are available. T﻿he event format is as follows: each participant is registered in 2 half-day sessions (either morning or afternoon). Both sessions will attend our highly anticipated guest panel. Check-in is at 8:30AM MST and 11:30AM MST for the morning and afternoon session, respectively. O﻿nly 1 ticket is required per participant for the entire event.U﻿PDATE: We have increased the participant capacity for our event due to the high demand! Looking forward to seeing everyone!
